Passed by Congress in 1970, the Clean Air Act gave the newly formed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) authority over reducing air pollution in the country. Developed by Dr. Rossow, this online engineering PDH course provides a brief introduction to the Clean Air Act programs, philosophies, and policies. Air pollution control from vehicles, acid rain issues, toxic air pollutant reduction, ozone layer protection, permitting, and enforcement are all discussed.
