[Live Webinar] Bolting and Welding of Steel Structures
Intended Audience: Civil & Structure Engineers.
Credits: 2 PDH Units
When: Wednesday 12/7. 2 – 4 pm ET
Bolting and welding of steel structures will be presented in a broad term. This webinar will discuss the bolted joints and some practical techniques to assure the quality of the steel structural joints. Also, different types of welds and welding joints will be presented. This webinar is intended to give some practical overview of steel joints. Different types of bolts and welds and their installation are also covered. The latest of AISC steel design manual will be used to design simple steel joints. The presentation begins with types of bolts and ends up with an example of welded joint design.
This webinar benefits engineers and practitioners in structural steel design and structural steel construction industry. It is an introductory course and can be considered as a review course. This presentation is not intended to those with extensive experience in welding and steel joint construction.

REQUIRES RE-BALANCING TIME ON EACH TOPIC
The instructor did well preparing the pertinent information for each of the two aspects of the course, i.e. Bolting of Steel Structures and Welding of Steel Structures. The information the instructor presented was interesting and informative.
There was, however, an imbalance of the time spent on Bolting of Steel Structures vs Welding of Steel Structures. The instructor utilized 75% of the allotted webinar time on the subject of Bolting of Steel Structures, though there was an equal number of presentation slides for both topics. Re-balance the time spent presenting each topic.
informative
very informative, but seemed to speed up towards the end
Live Webinar] Bolting and Welding of Steel
As a power plant engineer I work with bolting and welding on structures and process equipment. This course reviews and clarifies some of the technology.
Very interesting class
This class covered how steel buildings are connected at their joints, be it with bolts or welding. I never knew anything about this. It was very interesting. When I see buildings under construction I’ll have a much better understanding of what I’m seeing
