Intended Audience: Civil & Structure Engineers

When: Wednesday 2/1/23. 2 - 4 pm ET

Structural Steel buildings are designed by almost every design firm in North America and in many other countries. For each design, there could be several options that are most probably correct, however they are not all economical. Many projects, particularly big projects, may require value engineering and significant cost can be saved in the steel frame. Additionally, engineers typically delegate connection design to fabricators, which may also cause conflicts and issues in the field since fabricators and detailers are not fully aware of the project. The webinar presents good practices in steel framing and in connection design to avoid conflicts and expensive modifications in the field which will result in economical design.

Date:  Wednesday.  Feb 1st. 2023.  Starts: 2 - 4 pm ET Credits: 2 PDH Units

Good subject matter, as most of us are NOT competent to perform connection design.
I prefer courses that offer technical examples (sample worked-out problems). I find the ability to work through even extremely oversimplified example problems significantly increases my retention.

This is an excellent course summarizing the basics of economical steel design. I’ve been using these principles for most of my career, but it is good to see them presented in a concise and comprehensive manner like this. Nice job!

Had difficulty in the quality of the verbal transmission, some dialogue was garbled.
