Solar power is available to individuals in a number of different forms, including photovoltaics (PV), solar water heaters and solar pool heaters, to the extent that so many options can make it more difficult for average homeowners to decide which options are best for them. This course explores the various types of systems that are available to the homeowner and presents a methodology for comparison of performance and cost effectiveness of the various options. The course is intended as an overview of the costs and benefits of solar for the user, but also to provide a knowledge base for those in the construction industry who may have any questions about where they may fit into the overall solar picture.
